Commitment Ceremonies for couples who have made a commitment to each other and wish to publicly declare their promise before family and friends, without taking the step into legal marriage – for whatever reason.

No legal requirements

Ceremonies can take place in a garden, a home or any venue that is special to you

As yet same sex couples are not able to legally marry in Australia. Thus many choose a ceremony which in all but the legalities is a wedding ceremony. The couple may choose a similar format and include their choice of poems or readings, vows, music etc.

In some areas councils now have a Register where these couples may have their ceremony registered.
