A
Naming is a celebration of new life for those parents
who do not wish to have a traditional religious baptism
for their new child or even an older child.
A Naming Ceremony - sometimes referred to as a civil
christening - is an opportunity for parents and families
to welcome a new baby into the family units.
It
is possible to have a Naming first followed by a religious
Baptismal Service at some other time. The Baptism may
be in a church followed by a Naming Ceremony at home.
Gill's
ceremonies reflect such values as honesty, integrity,
tolerance, concern, fairness and love towards their
fellow human beings.
You
will receive for your child a Naming Certificate, as
will the godparents/guardians/mentors, grandparents/
great godparents along with a copy of their ceremony.
Baby
naming means:
-
Creating
ceremony revolving totally around your child
-
Including
special poems, music and candles
-
The
whole family can be involved
-
Allow
family relationship to deepen as the child is introduced
and welcomed into a loving circle of family and
friends
